Why I'm so excited about swim meets at the country club.

A Maserati Quattroporte, that's the SQ4 version.

A particularly beautiful (and brown!) Jaguar XK, that's the supercharged R Convertible version.

A Porsche 911, that's the Carrera 4S version.

The quartet I parked next to. A Cadillac XLR, a Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, a Porsche 911 Carrera S,

and a Posche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet.

Also, Mercedes E-Class, that the E63-S AMG version.

Bonus International pickup in front of a local hardware store.

When I was still a country club swimmer all of the really nice clubs sucked at swimming and were in a lower division so I never go to see this stuff. The yacht club were always fun to go to though.

We're Class 1 (not for much longer), and the folks at this particular country club appear to be pretty good.

My club was well know for being the last team in the upper division every year. We would be lucky to go 2-4 most years because the divisions dont cross until the finals meet. I have to ask, what do you swim?

You guys have 200's in summer swimming? And I'm a butterflyer, I was average at best. I did pick up the 25 butterfly record on the club swim team at college though.

No, that's when I swim year-round club. We only do 50's-100's for seniors in summer.

Man, I hate country clubs. My gf's brother is a dentist and a member at a country club outside Milwaukee. Sometimes they have family get togethers there. I can only take so much of being surrounded by boring ass white bread Wisconsin golf playing assholes wearing goddamn khakis and acting all smug.

I asked my self that question. My answer was workout. I then learned it really easy to not workout when you are not required to. I gained like 15 pounds by spring break, thankfully cutting soda out of my diet plus occasional working out did the trick so I ended up losing most of that weight and am back down to 160.

You had 25's in college? Damn I knew I should have walked onto the swim team at Michigan State.

I was a butterflyer too btw. This was my event list for every high school meet:

200 Medley Relay (50 Fly)

200 IM

100 Fly

100 Back

(then die in a corner)

hahaha that's crazy.

I had scholarship offers to a few schools (Penn State, UMass, and a few small ones) that I turned down because I have a bad knee (torn doing breast stroke - that sucked). I turned them down for a better education and I knew I'd blow out the knee again in college (which I did, twice), then I'd be stuck with a lesser education and no scholarship.

Yeah, I wasnt that good. Missed the 100 butteryfly cut by .15 but still went to states in a relay. We got fifth in Division 2 and 15th in the state with a 1.36.8 in the medley relay so that was cool.

I always raced meters. I made all conference 3 years in a row in 100 fly, and if I remember correct I made states my senior year for 100 fly and 100 back
